RECEIVED
JOOL
21 JAN 1933
In your letter dated 5th October, 1951, you were good
enough to send to this Office a copy of the Report received
from the Governor of Hong-Kong dealing with the Mui Tsai
question and covering the period of six months ending May
31st, 1931. If similar Reports were submitted by the
Governor during 1932, I should be greatly obliged if I might
be supplied with copies of them.
Further, I should be grateful if I might be informed
whether the two Chinese female Inspectors referred to in your
letter of October 5th have now been appointed, in addition
to the European Sub-Inspector of Police, to carry out the
inspection of registered Mui Tsai.
I am, Sir,
Your obedient servant,
The Under-Secretary of State,
Colonial Office,
Downing Street, S.W.1.
Manell Gammett
